Why this exists
I build websites, and I live here. Which means I keep running into the same story: a local business pays someone to build them a site, it looks good for about a year, and then it quietly rots. The hours are wrong. The holiday notice is from two Christmases ago. A photo is of a van they sold. The contact form stopped emailing anyone and nobody noticed for months.
It's never that the owner doesn't care. It's that keeping a website current is a real job, and it lands on the person with the least time to do it — usually the owner, usually at eleven at night, usually after a fight with a password reset.
So that's what I sell. Not a website — anyone can sell you one of those. The part afterwards, where it stays right, month after month, without you thinking about it once.
